His stage name is a reverence to house music maker Todd Terry. Called "Lord of the late spring jams"[4] by Mixmag, "33% of the Holy Trinity of Norwegian disco" by Spin magazine, and "one of [the Scandinavian move scene's] unmistakable figures"[6] by AllMusic, Todd Terje made his name with a series of remixes and re-alters in the mid 2000s.
